At Aura Talent ("we", "us", or "our"), we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you visit our website (www.auratalent.io), when you deal with us as a candidate or client, and how we use cookies to improve your experience.

What we collect

Depending on how you deal with us, we may hold your name, contact details, job title and employer, and any information you send us. If you are a candidate, we also hold your CV and career history, the notes we make when we speak to you, your salary and availability.

Where candidate information comes from

We are a search firm, so we often approach people rather than waiting for applications. If you did not give us your details yourself , we will have taken them from professional sources such as LinkedIn, job boards, CV databases, publicly available professional profiles, business contact data providers, or a referral. We will tell you where we got them the first time we contact you.

Why we use it

To provide recruitment services: finding people for roles, introducing candidates to clients, managing our client and supplier relationships, and running the business. We rely on legitimate interests for most of this, meaning we have a genuine business reason and have satisfied ourselves it is fair to you. We rely on a legal obligation for the records employment agencies must keep, and on your consent for marketing emails.

Who we share it with

Our clients, where we are introducing you and you have agreed to it. The software and service providers we use to run the business, and our professional advisers. Anyone we must disclose to by law.

We do not sell your information.

AI and automated decisions

We use software to search and organise information, and AI tools help us draft and take notes. No decision about you is made by a machine on its own. A person always reviews it.

Sending information outside the UK

Some of our providers are based outside the UK, mainly the United States. Where that happens we make sure the transfer is protected, either because the provider is covered by a UK approved arrangement or because we have the required contract terms in place.

How long we keep it

We keep information only as long as we need it. Candidate records kept for three years from our last meaningful contact, then deleted.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or send it to someone else. You can object to us using it, and you can withdraw consent where you gave it.

If you would rather we did not contact you again, just say so and we will stop.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device to help the website function properly and provide us with insights into site performance.

We use Google Consent Mode v2 alongside Google Analytics 4. This means that our website operates on a "privacy-by-default" model. No tracking cookies are fired unless you explicitly click "Accept All" on our cookie banner.
